DIY colourful circle garland

Heey,

As promised I am back for day two of my blogging fest...yaay! Today I thought I would show you one of my fave DIY projects that I've been working on just for you :3

Today I'm going to show you how to make a colourful, circle garland!

There are probably better ways to do this but this is my way aha.

Also, sorry about the bad lighting I took these photos last night so it's not very good quality but hopefully that won't matter :))

enjoy x

You will need:
~ Scissors
~ Glue stick
~ Pencil / rubber, if you're like me and you make heaps of mistakes...
~ String
~ Coloured paper of your choice

Step one
Cut your string at whatever length you want it, depending on where you're going to hang your bunting. I did mine quite short because I'm just going to hang it above my desk.

Step two
Next, draw your circle, this will be the size of your bunting so cut it to whatever size you want. I just traced around my wheel of string to get my circle (wheel of string?!)

Step three
Repeat step two so that you have two even circles.

Step four
Take one of your circles and glue one side right to the edges.

Step five
Now stick your circle underneath the string as shown in the picture. Remember not to stick it on right at the edge of your string as you'll want some room to stick your pin in to hang it up!

Step six
Now place your second circle over top to create your first piece of bunting! I actually glued the second circle as well when I stuck it over the string, just to make sure it would stay down. Also, when you are sticking your second circle down press around the outside but not the middle because otherwise you'll see the place where the string is :p

Step seven
Repeat step six until you have covered your string in cute little circles, you can change the colours around like what I did, choose a different patterned paper or just keep it the same, there are endless possibilities so try and get creative with it! Depending on how long your string is our how small your circles are it could take you up to half an hour so recommend you do not do this late at night when you are sick and tired, because it can be quite frustrating and time consuming!

This was my end product and I think it looks quite cute! Remember I did make mine quite small given the space I have to work with but you can make it as long and colourful as you want!

I hope you liked my first DIY post! I'm thinking of doing an art or OOTD post tomorrow, but sadly on Thursday I won't be able to post as it's the last day of school for the term (ahh omg yaaay!!) and I will be staying the night at my friends house so I might do two posts on either Saturday or Sunday! Please stay tuned for more posts this week!

Bella x
