Heey,
Ahh, okay I know I have been gone for almost a month now (!!) and that is so bad but I have been extremely busy with school stuff because we are doing our science fair projects at the moment and we only have two weeks left so I'm really stressed out! We are also moving house in less than four weeks now so I've been really busy selling my old stuff, packing and buying things for my new room! But don't worry because I have some super exciting stuff planned for posts in the next couple of weeks and of course a new room tour once we move in! So today I have a May favourites post for you...
Enjoooy,
I recently discovered Sonny Angels in a cute little shop in town called Iko Iko (if you live in Wellington you'll probably know the shop I'm talking about) I just couldn't leave without buying one because they just looked so cute!!
I'm actually in love with Beci Orpin's books Find and Keep and Home! They're honestly so amazing oh my gosh, so many DIY ideas!!
Because who doesn't love washi tape with confetti on it?
The cover on the latest issue of Frankie is so pretty, I just love it :))
I just can't get over how cute these little bunnies erasers are!
Lately I've sort of had this obsession with pancakes aha idek why, but I found this photo on pinterest and they just look amazing!!
I neeeed these socks !
I really like this style of lamp at the moment because it's really minimalist and pretty but unfortunately they're really expensive.
So I do realise that there is only one day left of May so this is kind of a semi June favourites post aha. I'm sooo sorry that this is kind of my first post this month but hopefully I can post a lot more in the next few weeks and I'm going to try and upload something every Sunday if that's possible haha.

Stationary Haul (oh dear)
Heey,
So I'm not sure weather you guys like to see hauls on my blog but I thought I would show you some pictures of what I purchased today when I went to the mall because...idk aha!

One of my favourite buys of today is this typo notebook! and it's a really cute little book with small plants and cacti on the cover!
This is what it looks like inside, oh my goodness, too cute!
I picked this up in Smiggle because it's just so sweet, I don't usually shop in Smiggle but when I popped my head in there today I had to take this with me, hehe.
This pencil case is from Kikki.k which is probably the cutest stationary shop ever!
Look at this little cloud!
Kikki.k stickers, I'm not quite sure what I'll use these for but they're just so pwetty.
This is honestly the cutest notebook ever! I think this is from typo, ahh I'm in love!!
From kikki.k (again!) is this pack of five pens...they are so sweet!
I don't really know where I'll use this aha but the little dots look like confetti and I just thought it might look nice on my desk with a succulent or two in it! (typo)
And finally, this adorable notebook which is from surprise surprise, Kikki.k! I think I will use this book to plan my blog posts, I'm not sure :/
I hope you liked this post, it's a little bit different to the things I usually post but I know that I like to read these kinds of things on other peoples blogs, soo if you liked it leave a comment below and maybe I will show you some more of my hauls!

Potato Printing Watermelons
Heey (yes I'm back)
Oh my goodness I'm so sorry I have been gone for over a week now and on my blogging fest week! I am now six days into the holidays already, time flies so quickly especially when your in bed with tissues and movies. Yes that's right I'm still sick, ew.
Anyway on with the post!
Today I thought I would show you one of my favourite DIYs, potato printing / spud stamping hehe. If you haven't heard of potato printing before its pretty much where you carve your spud to be whatever shape you want and use it as a stamp! You can make wrapping paper, cushions, tee shirts and much more. Today I'm just doing a simple watermelon design because it's really easy, pretty and I just love watermelons!
You will need:
~ Pink paint
~ Green paint
~ A paint brush (preferably quite thin)
~ A knife
~ Paper, fabric, card or whatever you want to do your design on
~ I actually didn't include this in the photo but you'll also need a vivid / black pen
~ A uhm potato...
Step one
Cut your potato in half like this ^
Step two
Cut your potato again as shown in photo.
Step three
Cover the thickest side of your potato in pink paint so that no part of the spud is showing on that surface.
Step four
Press your painted potato down on the paper / fabric of your choice so that it looks like the picture above.
Step five
Once the pink has dried paint a curved green line around your watermelon shape.
Step six
Tidy up your green line so that it looks like a watermelon!
Step seven
Finally, to complete your watermelon, in a thin tip black pen like the one I used or a vivid draw little seeds on your finished watermelon!
Step eight
Now just repeat the pattern as many times as you want depending on what you'll be using it for. I'm not really sure what I'll do with my little watermelons but I might try and make them into a garland, I think that would look really cute!
I ended up cutting mine out, idek why aha.
And here's what they look like!
I hope you enjoyed this little DIY and hopefully I'll be back with more posts later on this week! Do you think you'll try potato printing? What kind of crafty things do you like to do?

DIY colourful circle garland
Heey,
As promised I am back for day two of my blogging fest...yaay! Today I thought I would show you one of my fave DIY projects that I've been working on just for you :3
Today I'm going to show you how to make a colourful, circle garland!
There are probably better ways to do this but this is my way aha.
Also, sorry about the bad lighting I took these photos last night so it's not very good quality but hopefully that won't matter :))
enjoy x
You will need:
~ Scissors
~ Glue stick
~ Pencil / rubber, if you're like me and you make heaps of mistakes...
~ String
~ Coloured paper of your choice
Step one
Cut your string at whatever length you want it, depending on where you're going to hang your bunting. I did mine quite short because I'm just going to hang it above my desk.
Step two
Next, draw your circle, this will be the size of your bunting so cut it to whatever size you want. I just traced around my wheel of string to get my circle (wheel of string?!)
Step three
Repeat step two so that you have two even circles.
Step four
Take one of your circles and glue one side right to the edges.
Step five
Now stick your circle underneath the string as shown in the picture. Remember not to stick it on right at the edge of your string as you'll want some room to stick your pin in to hang it up!
Step six
Now place your second circle over top to create your first piece of bunting! I actually glued the second circle as well when I stuck it over the string, just to make sure it would stay down. Also, when you are sticking your second circle down press around the outside but not the middle because otherwise you'll see the place where the string is :p
Step seven
Repeat step six until you have covered your string in cute little circles, you can change the colours around like what I did, choose a different patterned paper or just keep it the same, there are endless possibilities so try and get creative with it! Depending on how long your string is our how small your circles are it could take you up to half an hour so recommend you do not do this late at night when you are sick and tired, because it can be quite frustrating and time consuming!
This was my end product and I think it looks quite cute! Remember I did make mine quite small given the space I have to work with but you can make it as long and colourful as you want!
I hope you liked my first DIY post! I'm thinking of doing an art or OOTD post tomorrow, but sadly on Thursday I won't be able to post as it's the last day of school for the term (ahh omg yaaay!!) and I will be staying the night at my friends house so I might do two posts on either Saturday or Sunday! Please stay tuned for more posts this week!
